What is an Industrial Defense™ Speedstack7 ™ lens protector?
SpeedStack7™ is Industrial Defense™'s professional-grade 7-layer tear-off lens protection system. Designed for industrial respirators, sandblasting hoods, and protective headgear, SpeedStack7™ lets you restore clear vision instantly—simply tear off the soiled layer and get back to work in seconds.
How does the 7-layer tear-off system work?
How does the 7-layer tear-off system work?
Each SpeedStack7™ application provides 7 protective layers stacked together. When your top layer gets covered in overspray, dust, or debris, simply grip the tear-off tab and pull—the soiled layer peels away instantly, revealing a fresh, optically-clear surface underneath. Tear. Clear. Continue.™
What makes SpeedStack7™ different from regular lens covers?
What makes SpeedStack7™ different from regular lens covers?
Most current lens covers are single-layer pieces of film mounted using 2 strips of double-sided tape. SpeedStack7™ tear offs come prelaminated, optically indexed providing 7 individual layers vs just 1 layer and they use a full perimeter adhesive system offering protection against liquid and debris from getting behind the tear off.
Are SpeedStack7™ layers optically clear?
Are SpeedStack7™ layers optically clear?
Yes. Every layer of SpeedStack7™ is optically indexed and distortion-free, maintaining crystal-clear visibility through all 7 layers. With 85% visible light transmission through all 7 layers combined, you'll experience the same high-quality vision on layer 7 as you did on layer 1.

Yes. SpeedStack7™ protects your polycarbonate or glass lens with a physical barrier. The top layer features a scratch-resistant, hard-coated surface designed to withstand industrial environments and abrasive particles.
Will this affect my visibility or optical clarity?
Will this affect my visibility or optical clarity?
No. SpeedStack7™ maintains 85% visible light transmission through all 7 layers, ensuring clear vision while you work.
Can these withstand high temperatures?
Can these withstand high temperatures?
Yes. SpeedStack7™ operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -30°C (-22°F) to 120°C (248°F).
Are they chemical resistant?
Are they chemical resistant?
SpeedStack7™ lens protectors are made from optical grade polyester (PET), which offers good chemical resistance for most industrial applications. The material resists weak acids and bases, alcohols, oils, greases, and many common industrial solvents. However, prolonged exposure to strong acids, strong bases, or certain organic solvents (like acetone or MEK) may affect the material. For harsh chemical environments, we recommend more frequent layer changes to maintain optimal protection. If you work with specific chemicals and have concerns, contact us at info@industrialdefense.com for guidance.
Will they perform in extreme cold or heat?

Applying the SpeedStack7™ tearoffs is very easy and quick when compared to the time and effort of removing a costly helmet or respirator lens and then installing a replacement.
What's the cost savings versus buying new lenses?
What's the cost savings versus buying new lenses?
New lenses can range anywhere from $10 to $200 depending on make, model and manufacturer which is well over the cost of a single 7 layer tear off.
How does SpeedStack7™ compare to disposable face shields?
How does SpeedStack7™ compare to disposable face shields?
Disposable face shields (designed for 1 use, then thrown away) typically cost $3.00 USD, so to get 7 usages the cost would be $21.00 USD. Besides the waste of going through 7 disposables, the cost of a single SpeedStack7™ tearoff is lower when compared on a per-layer basis, to say nothing of the time to find and replace the disposable.
